Mylan coming under increasing pressure to review price of EpiPen

NBC News

19 August 2016 - In a turn up for the books, Martin Shkreli has called Mylan "vultures".

In 2007, a pack of two adrenaline/epinephrine filled pens went for $56.64 wholesale, according to data gathered by Connecture, a health insurance data specialist. Now it's jumped to $365.16, an increase of 544.77%. Since the end of 2013, the price has gone up by 15% every other quarter.

Senator Bernie Sanders has also weighted in on the debate, saying there is no reason why EpiPen should cost families more than $600.
