National paracetamol shortage leads to restrictions

21 November 2018 - Pharmacists have been told to restrict the number of paracetamol tablets they give out because of a national shortage of the country's most dispensed medicine.

About a million paracetamol tablets are dispensed every day, requiring two shipping containers to be imported every month.

Stocks are running low and new supplies aren't expected until the New Year.
