Northland father-of-three forced to sell 'dream home' to fund cancer treatment

1 February 2019 - A 36-year-old Whangarei father-of-three is preparing to sell his family's "dream home" to fund a cancer treatment which could save his life.

Adam Manderson had been cancer-free for almost 10 years when he found out he had stage three melanoma and while the infected gland was removed his oncologist said there's a 60 per cent chance of the cancer returning and being terminal.

Manderson was told his best chance at seeing his children grow up is taking Keytruda, an immunotherapy treatment, which will cost him over $100,000.
