12 July 2024 - The MHRA has approved a new formulation of the medicine ocrelizumab (Ocrevus 920 mg solution for injection) to treat relapsing forms of multiple sclerosis and primary progressive multiple sclerosis in adults.

Ocrelizumab can be used in two types of patients:

• Adults with relapsing multiple sclerosis where the patient has flare-ups (relapses) followed by periods with mild or no symptoms
• Adults with primary progressive multiple sclerosis where symptoms get steadily worse over time
