Oncologists pen open letter to PHARMAC asking for more life-saving cancer drugs

5 September 2023 - Drug buying agency PHARMAC is not moving fast enough, says a gut cancer patient paying more than $10,000 a month to keep her treatment going.

With 5,700 New Zealanders diagnosed every year, gut cancers are one of the most common forms of cancer in the country - including cancers of the bowel, pancreas, stomach, oesophagus and liver.
