PBAC statement of endorsement for transparency measures and standardised redactions to public summary documents

PBAC

23 July 2020 - The PBAC has made a statement outlining its support for measures to improve the transparency of PBAC outcomes, and in particular, the upcoming implementation of standardised redactions to public summary documents.

Following the conclusion of the third and final pilot for standardised redactions to the public summary documents, the updated and final 7.4 Procedure Guidance is now available.

The PBAC has endorsed the approach to standardised redaction criteria and arrangements as outlined in April 2020 through revisions to the PBS’s Procedure Guidance. The PBAC further commends the agreed transition into these transparency reforms, acknowledging that the Procedure Guidance and a supporting guidance document have been published in sufficient time for them to be used for applicants intending to submit to the November 2020 PBAC meeting.
