PBS medication to cost no more than $25 under Labor re-election pitch

19 March 2025 - Australians are set to save a combined $200 million a year under the plan, which will cost $690 million over the next four years, with the money to be included in next week's budget.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said a re-elected Labor Government would pass legislation to enact the changes, which would come into effect from January 2026.
