PHARMAC fails to score major funding boost in NZ budget

30 May 2019 - Major new funding for mental health but not for medicines; face of Wellbeing budget has given up on NZ and moved to Australia.

The Government has responded to the mental health inquiry with a massive $1.9 billion package over five years across a range of portfolios including health, education, corrections, justice and housing.

But the rest of the health sector gets just enough to keep it ticking over and there is little joy for those hoping for a boost for PHARMAC.
