PHARMAC publishes minutes from August 2023 PTAC meeting
3 December 2023 - The meeting was held on 17-18 August 2023. After looking at the agenda, one asks why did they bother?
The PTAC met, seemingly in person, to considered a meagre agenda. The Committee considered funding applications for the following medicines:
- Empagliflozin - type 2 diabetes mellitus (restriction. change)
- Empagliflozin - chronic renal disease (new indication)
- Tocilizumab - giant cell arteritis (new indication)
- Infliximab - multiple diseases (new formulation)
