PHARMAC unlikely to get back-up flu vaccines before season over

7 June 2019 - PHARMAC says it is unlikely it will be able to get more flu vaccine supplies before the season is over.

Supplies of this year's flu vaccine are running low, health providers are limiting who gets a shot to the most vulnerable – and there are no back up supplies in New Zealand.

PHARMAC has distributed more than 1.26 million doses this year, close to 2018's record of 1.3 million doses for the season.
