Pharmaceutical Benefits Advisory Committee recommends Orkambi for PBS
17 August 2018 - Cystic fibrosis sufferers across Australia will now have access to a life-changing drug after the Federal Government approved its addition to the PBS.
The decision means everyone who suffers from cystic fibrosis will have access to the drug, named Orkambi, at a drastically reduced cost.
The decision is a huge relief to the Gibson family, whose eight-year-old son Toby suffers from the disease.
