Platform clinical trials for the efficient evaluation of multiple treatments

17 February 2025 - For some medical conditions, including conditions without effective treatments, multiple promising but unproven therapies may exist, with an urgent need to evaluate them as efficiently as possible. 

A platform trial is a type of randomised clinical trial intended to answer more than one primary clinical question within a single master protocol and with the potential to add new questions.
