7 December 2017 - FDA Commissioner Gottlieb provides testimony before the U.S. Senate HELP Committee on the agency’s implementation of the 21st Century Cures Act.

Chairman Alexander, Ranking Member Murray, and members of the committee, thank you for the invitation to testify at this hearing to discuss the implementation of the 21st Century Cures Act.

“Cures” set FDA on a transformative path. It set out to optimise our investments in science by modernising how FDA oversees breakthrough technologies. You asked us to advance innovations more efficiently, while maintaining our gold standard for protecting patients.
