Securing supply of PrEP
1 October 2024 - The Australian Government is ensuring thousands of Australians, with or at risk of contracting HIV, are protected by securing the supply of tenofovir with emtricitabine, or PrEP, by temporarily approving the supply on an alternative overseas-registered brand.
From 1 October 2024, the Laurus Labs, USA-registered brand will be listed on the PBS, to allow supply at a subsidised cost for the period of the shortage.
