13 September 2016 - This event is designed to help pharmaceutical industry members who require an understanding of the processes for accepting new medicines for routine use in NHS Scotland.

As it aims to give a basic overview of these processes, and repeats the event we hosted in September 2015, it is best suited to those who have not previously attended an ABPI / SMC training day.

As well as giving an overview of our processes from a clinical and economic perspective, the event will also explore our work more widely. Topics will include:

• SMC’s approach for ‘orphan’ and ‘end of life’ medicines
• An overview of the Patient Access Scheme Assessment Group (PASAG) process
• Public involvement
• Horizon scanning
