Spinal Stabilization Technologies earns FDA breakthrough designation for PerQdisc nucleus replacement system for degenerative disc disease
25 May 2021 - Spinal Stabilization Technologies announced today that it has earned the CE Mark and the FDA's breakthrough designation for its PerQdisc nucleus replacement system.
PerQdisc is the only commercially available lumbar nucleus replacement system in the world. The PerQdisc device replaces the nucleus pulposus of the intervertebral disc in the L1 - S1 spinal region in patients with single-level discogenic pain. The patient may have single or multi-level degenerative disc disease but the discogenic pain must be limited to a single level.
