11 March 2022 - The Department of Health and Social Care has asked NICE to produce guidance on using teduglutide in the NHS in England.

Teduglutide is recommended as an option for treating short bowel syndrome only:

• When it is started in children and young people aged 1 to 17
• If Takeda provides teduglutide according to the commercial arrangement
