TGA Groups and Offices now called Divisions and Branches

TGA

The Therapeutic Goods Administration has updated the names of different parts of the organisation so we are better aligned with the names used by other Australian Government departments. The terms 'Divisions' and 'Branches' replace 'Groups' and 'Offices' respectively.

The TGA is arranged into three divisions (previously referred to as 'Groups'):

  • Market Authorisation Division
  • Monitoring and Compliance Division
  • Regulatory Support Division

The National Manager of TGA is a member of the Department of Health's Executive Committee and is supported by a Principal Medical Adviser and a Principal Legal Adviser.

There have also been a number of changes to Branch names (previously referred to as 'Offices') and Section names in order to provide greater clarity about their roles and responsibilities.
