24 February 2021 - Adjunct Professor John Skerritt has tasked the nation’s medical regulator with ensuring COVID-19 tests are successfully identifying people who have become infected with new variants.

While Australians focus on the vaccine rollout that began this week, Professor Skerritt, head of the Therapeutic Goods Administration is concentrating on how the new variants may affect efforts to contain the pandemic.
