Tixagevimab and cilgavimab for the the prevention of COVID-19 disease
16 February 2023 - The Department of Health and Social Care has NICE to produce guidance on the use of tixagevimab and cilgavimab in the NHS in England.
Tixagevimab and cilgavimab is not recommended for the prevention of COVID-19 disease in adults who are not currently infected with SARS-CoV-2 and who have not had a known recent exposure to someone infected with SARS-CoV-2, and:
- Who are unlikely to have an adequate immune response to COVID-19 vaccination, or
- For whom COVID-19 vaccination is not recommended
