TLV receives assignments for medicines for rare diseases
27 June 2022 - The Government has commissioned the Swedish Dental and Pharmaceutical Benefits Agency (TLV) to analyse and make proposals on how access to medicines for the treatment of rare diseases can be strengthened.
"There are more and more drugs for rare diseases, which is gratifying. It places new demands on society to prioritize. Can we increase the possibility that patients get access to the really good orphan drugs, at the same time as the consequences for other patients are not so great," says Agneta Karlsson, Director General of TLV.
