Tryngolza (olezarsen) approved by the FDA as the first and only treatment to reduce triglycerides and the risk of acute pancreatitis in patients with severe hypertriglyceridemia
24 June 2026 - Ionis Pharmaceuticals today announced that the US FDA has approved Tryngolza (olezarsen) as an adjunct to diet to reduce triglycerides (TG) and the risk of acute pancreatitis in adults with severe hypertriglyceridemia (sHTG: TG greater than or equal to 500 mg/dL).
The FDA approval was based on positive results from the Phase 3 CORE and CORE2 studies, which were published in The New England Journal of Medicine.
