Why are drug prices so high? We’re curious, too

17 September 2017 - This much is clear: The public is angry about the skyrocketing cost of prescription drugs. 

Surveys have shown that high drug prices rank near the top of consumers’ health care concerns, and politicians in both parties — including President Trump — have vowed to do something about it.

What’s not as clear is exactly why prices have been rising, and who is to blame.
