1 June 2026 - Immedica today announces that the European Commission has granted marketing authorisation for Zepzelca (lurbinectedin), in combination with atezolizumab, as first-line maintenance treatment for adult patients with extensive-stage small cell lung cancer whose disease has not progressed following induction therapy with atezolizumab, carboplatin and etoposide.

The decision is based on results from the Phase 3 IMforte trial, which showed that the combination of lurbinectedin and atezolizumab reduced the risk of disease progression or death by 46% and the risk of death by 27%, compared to atezolizumab maintenance therapy alone.
