14 January 2026 - Children under 12 with severe eczema face $20,000 yearly costs for life changing treatment despite medical experts recommending subsidised access almost four years ago.
Advocates, including a mum who endured years of her baby’s sheets being splattered in blood from open wounds caused by eczema, are calling for all kids aged over six months to have subsisdised access to Dupixent through the PBS.
The PBS caps the drug at $25/prescription, or $7.70 with a concession card, but unsubsidised it costs a whopping $20,000 yearly.
