Biden-Harris Administration announces action to increase access to sickle cell disease treatments
30 January 2024 - The Biden-Harris Administration announced today that sickle cell disease will be the first focus of the Cell and Gene Therapy Access Model, which was initially announced in February 2023.
The model is designed to improve health outcomes, increase access to cell and gene therapies, and lower health care costs for some of the nation’s most vulnerable populations.
