When Aleya Andersen blew out candles for her 10th birthday yesterday, she did not wish for a pony, toys or even lollies.

She wanted a cure for her little brother Beau.

And last night, she got the best birthday present she has ever received.

The PBAC yesterday recommended the Federal Government cover the $200,000-a-year cost of a “pink wonder drug” that increases the life of Cystic Fibrosis suffers by up to 23 years.
