5 February 2021 - This paper summarises the current evidence on patient and public involvement in health technology assessment  in order to synthesise the barriers and facilitators, and to propose a framework to assess its impact.

The number of studies on patients or public involvement in health technology assessment has dramatically increased in recent years.
