8 December 2017 - PHARMAC has published its annual report for the year ended 30 June 2017.

PHARMAC claims it funded 18 new medicines in the 12 month period. These medicines will be reviewed by MAESTrO in the coming days. Stay tuned.

The 2017 Annual Report states that PHARMAC has obtained secured additional funding - "Further medicines funding boost fromGovernment - NZ$60 million over four years".

The report also states that "As PHARMAC approaches a quarter of a century serving New Zealanders, we think the time is right to set some intentionally difficult targets to work towards."

These statements/objectives seem totally incongruous. Keen to hear your thoughts on this.
