Private health insurers speak their minds on unhealthy system

24 September 2016 - Australia’s private health insurance sector is lobbying the government to cut the prices it pays for medical devices, which it argues can be up to five times the prices paid in the public system.

With affordability forcing consumers to question their coverage, insurers argue that $800m can be saved if the prices are reformed, which they say would lead to lower premiums.
