TLV has decided to reconsider the subsidy status for certain drugs
26 May 2020 - TLV initiates a review for review of subsidy status for drugs that are part of one of the Swedish Medicines Agency's established exchange groups, where the included drugs have different approved uses (indications) and these areas have different subsidy status.
The purpose of the review is to make it possible for exchanges into drug benefits to occur in a correct and optimal way. The review also seeks to ensure that the benefit limitation is in accordance with the approved indications of the drug.
Due to changes in the Medicines Benefit Act, which comes into force on June 2, 2020, TLV sees a need to re-examine subsidy decisions for drugs in exchange groups where the included drugs have different approved indications and where the indications have different subsidy status.
